Yellow Flower Ice Smash

Need a seriously easy summer activity? This one’s the best!

This another extension of yellow flower collection that we used for making the big cat and water pouring station. I froze with added water into ice cubes and handed them over with a toy hammer today. She loves smashing those cubes into tiny pieces. I’m not going lie: it’s pretty fun so make sure you get a few whacks in too.

This might look like the world’s easiest activity, but it’s also a valuable one too. When my kiddo is smashing her ice cubes, she’s working on grip strength, hand-eye coordination, cause and effect and science (properties of solids and liquids).

It seems like such an easy summer activity – and it is! But it’s also one that has a whole lot to it.
