(Science)

We loved our walking rainbow so much. Little did we know there would be ‘colour’ theme yet we have posted it for ‘water’ theme of science on Saturday.

So this week I thought about us trying to colour cabbage leaves with coloured water. Only those blue and red were significant enough to be observed. They weren’t as contrast as I thought but the fun was all what matter.

The cabbage water movement experiment is very simple but demonstrates how plants work in a straightforward–and colourful–way.

As expected, the waiting part was the hardest. Lesson learned, I’ve prepared so many activities for Y to play with so that she could wait for the cabbage leaves to ‘drink’ more water. I explained that the leaf needs time to ‘drink’ to show their magic. We even made quite a game with straw: ‘how fast can you sip’, to simulate cabbage drinking the coloured water. Of course the was with lots of laugh and potty time in between.
