My daughter loves dinousaur, racing car and train. “Choo choo” is in fact one of her first words.

She received a set of Thomas and friends from our dear friend: the whole track set with yet another Thomas train (big size) and Heinz train pasta (never knew there was one before).

She has been playing the train set right away, but I wasn’t sure how to serve the pasta.

Our family always eat with gusto. No kids meal. No fancy things.

But sometimes, only a rare thing in this house, I prepared food with a theme. Just for fun on my part because my daughter just see food as it is, nothing more nothing less. The child in me said “the train pasta is just so cute!”

I prepared something quite different today. A train theme lunch: Tomato Heinz Thomas pasta, Thomas the train, also Peppa Pig and the Big Train book. She usually eat a portion on her bowl and wander around to pick up several things she has in mind to accompany her eating second portion while playing. This lunch time she sat the whole time, playing with Thomas(es) and pretend to read the book while eating before shouted “happy happy happy” (meaning ‘help me’). It was her asking me to read the book for her. Oh, she fed her Thomas train, said “yumyum” and led the spoon towards her mouth.

“Tasty,” she said.
