(Pretend Play)

We had a half day well spent outdoor yesterday on the city park. We had a bunch of dried leaves, sticks and fresh cut of flowers brought home from the park. It’s always lovely to to hunt and gather after they groom the garden because we could collect fresh things easier. Even more collection in one go! She hugged the collection in her whole arm, went everywhere for like 10 minutes before finally dropped them in my backpack.

This was a Mama project with a fun time for our kiddo (and also the parent) because I made extra for all three of us. It is a quick project for a castle adventure time!

Materials (for 1 crown, so times 3 for 3 crowns):

-1 big dried leaf, 6 small dried leaf

-strips of paper (for headband)

-stapler

-fresh branch with flower and leaves

-scissor

Instruction:

-staple strips of paper and circle it around your toddler’s head to make a snuggle enough headband, hold it with your finger tips to be stapled off the head after

-staple 3 small dried leaves on the front and back part of the crown

-cut the big dried leaf along its left-right center bone and staple them to the side, tuck the end nicely behind the front and back crown’s leaves

-add the fresh branch with flower and leaves on the front part of the crown

While Y was sleeping, I stapled some of the dried leaves on paper strips headband. And then a fresh purple flower was added after she picked it as her choice. She spent the whole afternoon with the crown. “Quee” (queen) she said, just like Peppa Pig in the castle adventure.
