We suddenly stumbled upon the new Faber Castell Stamp Markers. Y asked for it, so we bought and experimented to color/stamp ice cream craft today.

I prepared a tray with ice cream papers and stamp markers. She was so excited with both ice creams and markers.

“Ice creeeeeeam!” she said.
She was directly occupied with opening the marker’s cap. I just realized that it might be her first time experiencing a pen/marker on its double sides. She was busy opening both sides of all those markers. My first reaction was “Oh no, just open what you need and close the rest. We don’t want all of them to dry so soon, don’t we?” while helping her to close those caps.

Ah! In that split second, I realized: it’s ME who has a problem. She doesn’t. If they dried, so what? Let it be. Little kids are masters of the moment. At that particular moment her activities were to open the caps. I consciously let her go and allow her to enjoy the process freely. She continued to open and close the caps. She counted as she stamped and restarted her counting after each change of colors.

Y chose to stamp most of the pink ice cream paper and to color the white one.

It was rather messy so the tray did its job. To luck the markers are easy to clean with water, so definitely a warm welcome in our house!

She lifted up the ice cream picture many times while saying “yummy ice cream” in between her stamping and coloring.

She definitely had so much fun while I was sipping my drinks.

She eventually came over to me and offer one of the ice cream while saying “Ice cream, mummy?”
