Y loved the idea of dabbing the sponges onto the paper and seeing the texture of the sponges. At first she kept the sponge a single color brush. Only after a while she realized how amazing it was to mix color on the container and had the paper finally loaded in multi-colored paint.
Materials:
-sponge as small as your toddler’s handgrip (we used only 1/4 of our original sponge, meaning it can last 4 times more)
-4 homemade paint colors
(1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup water, mix together until no more lumps, divide into each color containers and add a few drops of food coloring)
-4 lids, turned upside down as
paint color containers
-paper(s)
-tray

Instructions:
-present the materials
-let your toddler explore
As the activity developed the temptation not to put painted sponge on her legs was too great. Her legs was soon full with dabbed of paint all over. As long a I provided enough blank paper however she kept playing on the paper instead of on her own body.
