We had a great time Pollock style splatter painting a few days ago and my daughter asked for another painting session today.

We used homemade (flour+water+food coloring) paint, halved lime and a popsicle stick.

My idea is to flex those gross motor muscles and throw the lime at the paper, which even though we’re indoor it was on the tray, so never fear. This will help my toddler build up her writing muscle.

She did throw the painted lime at the paper.

I found it funny that each time she threw a lime, once it hit the paper and splashed its color out, she’d scream “Ouch” with lots of giggle and laughter.

She told me it was like Humpty Dumpty when he had a great fall. Over and over again.

After some time she enjoyed more to brush the resulted print off with the popsicle stick.

It could be seen from the resulted pattern on how lots of lines were on the colored circles.
