(Open ended play)
I would like to make that gooey non-Newtonian fluid I remember from childhood experiment on TV.

The green slime we made today might be not fluorescent, but it was pretty much springy and looks like snot. I could remember my own imagination from the past. If green slime had a smell, it’d be rotten eggs. If green slime made a noise, it’d be a long, wet burp. It should have been a yuck slime, but our daughter see it fascinating as always.

Materials:
-1/2 cup corn starch
-1/4 cup water
-food coloring
-coriander seeds
Instruction:
-present the materials in front of your toddler
-let your toddler play freely

We made green slime out of oobleck recipe.

It began from pouring 1/4 cup of water into a 1/2 cup of corn starch in a bowl and sprinkling the corriander seeds into the bowl.

Y mixed it well and the green slime play was ready.

This definitely can get oozy and gooey and provide quite a sensory punch. It’s a solid. No wait it’s a liquid! Wait again, it’s both! Very fascinating to be exact.

She picked up solid chunks, lifted it up and watched it ooze into a liquid.

It is great messy science sensory play. I talked with her about what it feels like. It’s really a crazy mixture. It oozes, melts, hardens, liquifies and slimes. It makes for great conversation, new vocabulary and a chance to learn a little bit about science all with hands-on play!
