We prepared these materials for Y’s cousin who is visiting and currently 7 months old.

Materials:
-Fisher Price Baby’s First Blocks (but any item in the house will do)
-basket
-rope, string or wool
Instruction:

-Take a basket, some rope, and thread it tightly in any pattern you desire.

-Make sure to tie off he ends securely to minimise the risk of baby getting tangled up and avoid the game to be interrupted

-Hide some toys or any household items, preferable things that interest your kiddo
I was quite curious, what would Y do with these materials at her age now? She had never played it before, no possible recollection. It’s a new thing for her. She was attracted to its vibrant color. She didn’t bother much about the block shapes stuck inside at first. She was however, interested with the basket and thread of rope. She rotated the basket, to her left then to her right. She shook to rattle block shapes against each other and against the basket.
Then, she finally in tunes with the blocks. She began pulling each block out, tried to pull two shapes at once unsuccessfully since the thread was rather tight and eventually pulled out all blocks. She put them back in though in the end.
