(Open ended play)
Our kiddo adore picking flowers or collecting fallen petals and leaves. We are always careful not to pick flowers that we shouldn’t, except when the gardener was pruning. Lots of branches complete with flower and leaves has already cut laid down on the ground. It’s a treasure to collect almost the whole plants (only minus its roots).

That moment was this morning. A little invitation to play was waiting for Y after her nap.

She finally can do what she might want to to do for a long time: pick flower and leaf. She counted each piece she picked. One by one. It’s a lot of numbers for each plant.

She poured water from the glass jar after 2 branches have been picked and continued to pick all flowers and leaves until the last of it.

Then she poured the remaining water into the bowl.

Before she left the materials, she mix and stir the soup using her point finger while saying “Bate bate chocolate,” just like Dora the explorer.
