Painting Trolls with Natural Paintbrush

(Open ended play)

Y would like to paint Troll today. Yes, the ugly creature depicted as giant Troll.

I covered the table with tracing paper, added her chosen homemade paints along with the newly made natural paintbrush on the table and she was free to paint her troll as she’d like to.

She made lots circles movement with her paint brush while saying “troll troll troll.”

It was totally a blast of fun!

She has been exposed to ‘the Three Billy Goats Gruff’ by Gaye Chapman since we bought the book a few weeks ago. At first surely she only attracted to those three goats, but after few days the Troll has caught her eyes more. Thinking of it, she sees them as sheep instead of goat and have been singing Baa Baa Black Sheep while pointing the goat each time we read this book.

I wish I could remember whose idea this natural paintbrush was, unfortunately back then I didn’t know how to save a post.
