Ostrich

(Craft)

O is one of the earliest alphabet which Y recognized. She also love to make then ”O” sound a lot. Since she’s also into bird, I introduce ostrich to her, to be followed by ostrich craft.

Materials:

-a circle shape from black color construction paper

-1 white feather, cut in half

-black marker

-a head, a neck and 2 legs shape from peach color construction paper

-glue

-a paper

Instruction:

-present the material in front of your toddler

-ask your toddler to glue each part of the ostrich per your guidance or even better if you can spare 2 sets of material then let him/her follow by example

Y and I watched a You Tube video of an ostrich running - something she do rather well. We actually ran around by the garden like ostriches - using our "wings" to steer and make sharp turns - this got some super laughs.

She also pretty familiar now with glueing, so this craft is not really much of a challenge these days. I have prepared the materials but she has her own freedom how to glue them on the paper.
