Magnify

(Open ended play)

Y found her father’s magnifier yesterday and quickly drawn into it. So I quicklu set up a tray with stones, nut and leaf for her to explore the magnifier with.

The magnifier is tiny and fit the her grip perfectly.

She went from stone to stone with the magnifier to pretend like a geologist. I said pretend because surely she missed the way of zooming it. She realized eventually after some time that the zooming effect was more on point if she took the object closer to her with one hand while her other hand held the magnifier.

The best magnifying power was obtained by putting the lens very close to one eye and moving the eye and the lens together to obtain the best focus.
