Magic Sand

(Open Ended Play)

This tray materials is a life saver when we’re on traveling. We have brought it to keep our 2 years old daughter (back then when we started bring this play along) happily busy on our 12 hour long drive a few weeks ago.

Materials:

-magic sands in a box

-moulds of ocean creatures

-a tool or spoon (optional)

Instruction:

-present the materials

-let your toddler explore

Y already knew these ocean creatures: “fish”, “crab”, “star”, “and “shell”

She hasn’t say it fully right, but it was fun for us to have a questions and answers because she loves to be right.

She’ll dig, pour and dump the sand. It’s holding on together, not quite like a beach sand, therefore less messy and easier to clean up if anyhow spilled in the car.
