Handprints is a lovely art and craft for both toddler and parent. Handprint art and craft make the perfect little keepsakes. It is also inexpensive. Toddler love to use hands to make art and craft. They are developing their skills of independence and their confidence in things that they are able to do themselves.
Materials:
-a small container of green paint
-a small container of black paint
-a medium container of red paint
-red color marker
-(pink, optional) paper
-a sponge
-a cotton buds
Instruction:
-ask your toddler to paint one of her hand using sponge, make sure it was all covered with red paint and make a print on a sheet of paper
-ask him/her to dab his/her thumb in green paint and make 3 prints on the bottom of the red handprint to make the “strawberry leaves”
-dip one end of a cotton buds in the black paint and make points on the handprint to make “strawberry seeds”
-write: “Love You Berry Much!” with red marker on the side
We’re planning to send a greeting card for Y’s grandparents. This easy kid gift idea was a “spur of the moment” craft the other night and I’m so glad I took the time to create it with my daughter. We were able to make these “Berry Much” Handprint Cards within minutes and get them in the mail the very next day.
As an expats, we live pretty far away from both our families. So handprint crafts like this one made by our daughter, is extra special to send to the grandparents. Sides that – handprint crafts are just the best to do at this age anyways. With kids growing so fast these days, it’s great to create keepsakes to remember those tiny hands.
