(Open Ended Play)
It might be made of plastic, but aesthetic-wise it is visually appealing. As long as there is imagination, the pieces can be used to build anything.
Most of the time, we let our daughter to create and explore the Lego Duplo starting from pouring the pieces out of the box until any point she’d like with her blocks creation. She has ideas in mind of what to built and usually not following any booklet instruction. Most of the time her father joined in to play side by side with different kind of project. Sometimes we help her built a house or a barn or certain #invitationtoplay and then let her explore or de-construct freely.
We do live in a oase with huge trees, greenery and open outdoor space park nearby, but if zooming out some more we actually live in a metropolitan city centre. A real house on a tree is a dream not only for our daughter but also for her parents.

This is one of those invitation to play. A Lego Duplo tree house is ready!

At 2.5 years of age, Y is so much into role play. We believe that role play can help children process and made sense of the world.
We built the treehouse with all her favorite activities to assign her figurines or animals: climb up the ladder, get down the slide, hoist the treehouse flag, open the door, close the door, open the window, and close the window.
All the pieces are available nearby should she needs her figurine, animal or certain (if not all) part of the treehouse needs renovations. I think we will bring the treehouse by the swimming pool today, so we can have a swim, soak some sun and enjoy the blue sky.
