Incy Wincy Spider

Y loves this book so much (Ladybird Action Rhymes book). I guess you can tell from how almost torn the board book page is.

I made those two little yellow spider for her last Halloween costume as her hairpieces from pipe cleaner, white buttons, and fresh produce bag for its nest.

She has been using them as prop for the incy wincy spider song since. So I thought, why not make stage for her pretend play.

I cut out some shapes out of newspaper for the spout, water, its splash and the spider of course. She glued spider’s parts together and arranged the spout and water. It was kind of matching game for her.

I couldn’t hold myself not to play with her. Well she asked me too since there was more than one spider on the table. We love to tease each other. At first we played just on the spout, but then we began to let our spider climb on each other hands. Lots of giggles and laughs while we ran around the house. “Run run run!” she said while pretend to hide behind a pillar or chair (which obviously seen by me, she’s not that small anymore and she knew it). Once we caught each other she would say “tickle tickle” and I would begin to tickle her sides.

Ah, those burst of laughter, so precious!
