We made it! I thought it would be just a prelude, trial to satisfy my own curiosity and let time pass to finally introduce it to my daughter when she’s interested. It turned out that the time for her was yesterday.
Surprisingly she was so in tune with the whole process. It has always been fun for her to press the blender’s button. She could only gaze at those torn paper turned into porridge in astonishment.
It was all about sensory play after we poured the goopy paper pulp.
I let her play until she was ready to scoop the fry pan splatter guard into the watery mix.
We tried several time together to get the feeling.
Once we finally ready, she sprinkled the top with yellow flower that she collected in the park earlier.
We gently raised up the splatter guard out of the water while keeping it level.
She was handled this rather fragile soft paper with care. I was utterly amazed. She checked the paper several time in the evening before sleep and let it harden overnight.
