What not to love: water and herbs? None. Water pouring and herbs sprinkling are one of the most fun thing in the world. Even adult loves it. Add food coloring to brighten the mood even further. Add spice powder for good measures. And ah, the fragrance, as if your young one is cooking even without involving any heat. Marvelous!

Materials:
-yellow and orange water in 2 glass jars
-dried herbs, spice powders and spice seeds in containers
-a spoon
-a big bowl
-a tray
Instruction:
-present the materials in front of your toddler
-let your toddler explore freely

Pouring is always a big hit. Whenever Y see any glass with water on her tray, she knows by now that it is water station time. It’s always her first move: to pour the water into the bigger bowl.

Next would be sprinkling herbs with her finger tips. She loves it. To sprinkle them bit by bit. After 3/4 portion of her herbs was already sprinkled into the soup, she usually would tip the container over to pour the rest of it.

Isn’t lovely? Vibrant color and amazing texture to play with.

I deliberately used variety of herbs: spice powder, dried one and even dried seeds (like mustard and coriander). She definitely loved it. She dipped her hands into the soup, scooped it up, and felt the seeds ran through her fingers and hands.

She played with it for somewhat felt like eternity. Totally into it. She even add all lids (herbs’ container that has gone empty) into the soup and stirred them well with the herbs. After about an hour she finally about to move on. As usual these days, she left her signature: stacked all available containers and tools inside the biggest bowl.

Herbs soup, done!
