Hape Blocks Pattern

We were playing high blocks (basically stacking blocks to its potential height before it crumble due to out of balance) the other day, and I observed how our 2.5 years old Y began to love building bigger blocks.

Since then we began a kind of copying games. I made certain pattern of blocks and then she tried to copy the same pattern with her blocks. We do it side by side on a tray. She is still 2.5 years old, therefore easily distracted. Playing on a tray helps her to focus better.

It’s a fun game yet so simple. I’d like to do this game with her nature collection but we only have driead leaves which she only let to be squeezed into tiny pieces at the moment.
