(Craft)
Our 2.5 years old daughter loves to have her hands and feet traced these past months. Oil pastel crayon also the next big thing in our house. This craft combines both her favorite things.

Materials:
-2 white papers
-red color construction paper
-black color oil pastel crayons
-a coin, and 2 different size lids (for ladybird dots, head and body)
-pencil
-glue
Instruction:
-draw 5 small circles by tracing the coin, a medium and a large circle each by tracing different sizes of lids on white paper using pencil. Draw a pair of antennae as well.
-trace your toddler hand on the red construction paper and trim out in stack, so less work to obtain 2 handprints in 1 go
-meanwhile ask your toddler to color black the back side of previously drawn white paper
-flip the white paper and trim out the ladybird’s parts, so that we could use the colored part on top for next step
-laid out the ladybird body parts on the tray along with a glue and ask your toddler to assemble the ladybird

I went directly to trace her hands and trim the handprints out while she was coloring the white paper. Once she was finished coloring the paper with black crayon, I flipped it and traced a small coin 10 times, followed by tracing a medium size jar lid for its head and another larger size for ladybird’s body. I also drew a pair of antena. Next, time to trim the circles and antennas out.

Glueing was another fun time for Y. With some guidance I asked her to glue the head, body, antennas, handprints and finally the dots.
