Handprint Fly
We went to the wet market last weekend. It has been a while since our last time since we live at the city center where 5 major grocery stores (read: biggest in the whole country) are only 5 minutes by walk.

One thing Y noticed was flies! She ran here and there excitedly in the hope to catch one but as we all know, it’s simply close to impossible. Once we got ourselves home, I decided to let her do this handprint fly craft.

Materials:
-paper
-goggly eyes or checkered circled papers
-paints, we used our flour homemade paints
-pencil
-scissor
Instruction:
-ask your kiddo to brush his/her hand with paint to create the print
-ask your kiddo to print his/her hand to the paper
-allow the paint to dry and trim out the handprint
-set up the tray with glue, a pair of eyes, a handprint
-ask your kiddo to glue each part of the fly
She chose the color for painting her handprint. Apart from trimming, she could do this craft independently. She insisted to use a scissor to ‘cut’ (read: shred) another piece of paper though.

This handprint fly is so simple and also a fun craft to do with young children. Kiddo can learn about nature while exercising fine motor skills.
