(Open Ended Play)

Ah how so much fun we had with our fruit this month! We have done so much things but still so much more to explore.

Today I thought I’ll introduce Y again about “lime not lemon” and “half.” Lime has been a foreign fruit fruit at our home somehow and she call any lime as lemon, as if they’re the same fruit. She halved so many things already, but I never heard her saying “half.” So I thought why not.

She halved the velcro-ed lemon excitedly, attached it back and repeat cutting the fruit over and over again.

Then she picked the lime, put it together with one hand and slipped her knife in between to pretend-cut it in half. We said a lot of “lemon,” “lime,” and half.

I said lots of descriptive words related to each of those fruits while she was playing. She’s a rather observant kind of kid and tend to absorb more through observing the big people.
