(Craft)
This is a super easy activity to introduce gratitude as our theme today. This is a simple craft with added fine motor skills exercise.

Materials:
-10 heart shaped paper cut
-10 wooden blocks
-rubber band
Instruction:
-tie the rubber band on each block
-present the materials in front of your toddler
-ask your toddler to slip in the heart between the rubber band and the block.

I love activities this time of year that get kids talking about gratitude. Recently, we made this thankful blocks and Y has been securing her hearts while I was saying things that make us thankful.

When she’s bigger, maybe in just about few months from now, and could communicate more fluently, she might be saying things that make her thankful herself. She knows how to be grateful in a simple “thank you” but this was merely a gratitude introduction (for now). If your kiddo is older, you could ask them to say things that they are grateful for.

The size of hearts shape paper cut also depending how your kiddo’s skill are. Y was already good at little things, so I did prepare small heart for more challenge.

This really was an easy craft to do and quite appropriate for toddler as young as 2.5 years old to do themselves. It’s good to exercise their fine motor skill. Y could already do it all by herself til finish. She even play some more and used the materials for an additional open ended play afterwards.
