(Open ended play)

Inspiration: Anna and Elsa’s frozen for color (blue and purple), Peppa Pig goes ice skating for activity (2 penguins go skating here) and ice painting for sensory.

Combined = total fun!

Materials:

-2 homemade paints (blue and purple)

-a spoon

-2 roller penguins

-colored ice cubes, colored with food colorings

-paper(s)

-a tray

Instruction:

-present the materials in front of your kiddo

-let your kiddo play freely

-let the painted paper dried overnight and then pressed under some weight to flatten it for keepsake or another re-usable idea.

The first thing Y did was spooned some paints and poured it blob on the paper.

She then picked the penguins and started to let them slide and glide, first just one penguins and them both with both hands as well. “Whiiy! Ice skating! Whiiiy!” She said.

After ice skating while painting she decided to give the penguins a colorful bath.

Let the penguins be buried under colorful ice cubes.

And eventually paint the paper some more with ice.

It was lots of fun observing her use the ice paints. She did paint in lots papers and enjoyed the whole process as much as the end product. She loved mixing the colors together to make new colors, the taste of ice which was soothing in the mouth, the cold sensation felt in her hands when she dipped in the melted ice, and the soft colors the ice paints created.

I loved the ending result and have used it to wrap some gift and made another craft.

Totally beautiful and re-usable.
