We were in the park from quite early today. After some time spent playing at the outdoor playground, we sat by the meadow. We were barefoot and relax a bit there. Bird chirps add merry notes to the morning breeze under the canopy of trees.

Several large frangipani trees stood tall behind us. Each dropping a carpet of either white and yellow or white and pink or deep red frangipani flowers. The blend of colors creates a welcoming ambience. We don’t pick flowers from these trees, but we collect a few from the ground, as there were just so many! Y usually hands them on to the next person she meet, as a little heart-felt gift. Unfortunately there was almost nobody there but us this morning. It was so peaceful.
Materials:
-flower collection
-water
-bowl
Instruction:
-present the materials to your toddler
-ask your toddler to pour water (if it is in a container) or add water (if from water tap, for instance)
-ask your toddler to arrange the flower freely
At home, I offered Y a few large bowls for her flower arrangement. She picked the white one, added some water into it and finally arranged her flower collection. Now that she knew how fragrant those frangipani flowers are, she almost always took a sniff right before each time she put it in the bowl.
