We consider ourself lucky to be able to live so close to the nature and can hear all the chirping, peeping and tweeting of birds every morning. Birds are in our first conversations with Y since we can see or hear them anywhere anytime while walking outside. However, somehow we haven’t make any bird craft before.
Beyond my personal expectation, these butterfly handprint cards are adorable! The best part about this craft is it’s handmade with love and comes with an adorable keepsake of your child’s handprint. Let’s not forget the fun part for the little one: tracing hands (or to be helped traced) and glueing color on the bird!
“Bird! Bird! Bird!”

Materials:
-2 construction paper (for bird’s body and beak)
-glue stick
-different colors of paper cut (we used: purple, pink and white)
-scissors
-black marker
Instructions:
-Fold over a construction paper in half.

-Trace your child’s hand as shown below, so that the wrist is on the fold side (when cut out you’ll get a mirrored hand). Add head and tail.

-Cut the bird and beak

-glue the beak and ask your toddler to glue the paper cuts on the bird

-Don’t forget to draw on the eyes
