(Craft)

We went through the garden part of the city park today and she picked lots of fallen frangipani flowers and some leaves. Some workers were cutting the branches and she also picked quite a freshly cut branches.

Materials:

-container

-a bit of water

Outdoor instruction:

-let your toddler play in the outdoor and gather her collection

-put the collections inside a container with some water in it to keep them fresh

Material:

-flower, leaf, & branch collections

-water

-glass container

-tray

At home instruction:

-present the materials

-pour water into the glass container

-add collections and arrange

-invite your toddler to place their flower arrangement somewhere in the home

Y had been collecting items for a few weeks now. She was excited when I presented her the arrangement tray. She has done this kind of arrangement project many times now so I let her arrange freely.

Pouring the water still was a part of the highlight. She stuck the branches first, to be followed by leaves and flowers. I think if she could she would squeeze all of them under the water. It was rather full, so some of the frangipani flower were left on the mouth of the glass jar.

I find it lovely (okay, I’m biased) even though some of the flower has started to get brown. Too bad Instagram can’t share things other than audio visual. It smells really nice, thanks to the frangipani flowers!
