Egg Painting with Salad Spinner

Make your own spin painter by using a household item as a spin painter! This DIY spin art machine is so fun for kids to do – it’s budget friendly and easy to set up.

Materials:

-homemade paints (water:flour = 1:1, add food coloring)

-card stock in the shape of an egg

-salad spinner

Instruction:

-open the salad spinner and put the egg card stock inside

-pour some dollops of paint on the egg card stock

-place the lid on salad spinner and spin, spin, spin!

-remove the lid to see your creation!

-let it dry

Why didn’t I think of it any earlier? Y loves this salad spinner since perhaps 6 months of age but we never think to introduce salad spinner painting until just this week.

She had a great time pouring thick paints drop by drop on the egg and was ecstatic to push the handle to get salad spinner spinning. Even better, the painting results is like magic. It blop dollop of paints at one time and suddenly become artsy like this after.
