Young children loves to be offered choice, so I asked Y which one she’d like to glue first: “The wings or the eyes first?”
She would like to do the eyes first. Those 2 eyes were made out of white paper. Simply trimmed out 2 circles and drew checkered pattern using a marker. Next, she chose the dark green wings and followed by the light green wings.
Those eyes and wings were rather small for Y’s little hands. She needed to be patience and gentle enough to be able to pick and glue them. It’s a really great fine motor exercise.
Y hardly can wait for the glue to dry. She played with the dragonfly wholeheartedly. She instantly found a new bestfriend of the day!
