Doodle with Bundle of Pencil Color

Young children are not strong enough to hold small pencils, how to help then? A bundle is one of my trick.

Materials:

-20 pencil colors

-6 rubber bands

Instruction:

-make a bundle of 10 pencil colors each

-keep the bundle together by using 3 rubber bands

-present the bundle with a piece of paper to your toddler and let them

explore freely

We have lots of pencil colors out of gift. She is still too young and those pencils despite long are too tiny for her to hold. I finally got an idea to made bundle so that she can grip it better. I should have thought about it earlier.

At first Y would only like to stamp on the bundle on her grip. So lots of her first doodler was bunch of points or commas. Soon after, she took both bundles on her hands drew in circular motion, over and over again.

I thought only to give her 2 bundles instead of one as options, it amazes me always to see how young children act. Sometimes I swear I could guess them right, but most of the time they just got mind-blowing idea. As far as we know she is a righty, but who would ever thought these materials could give possibility for left and right hand exercise.
