(Open ended play)

Y has been loving these chopping fruit toys since about one year old. It has been a long way of learning to where she is at the moment. At 2 years and 7 months she could pretty much hold knife the right way, with its supposedly-sharp side towards the fruit.

She’s able to practice real life skills that also allows her to improve her fine motor skills

She can do role-play by preparing fruit which helped remember fruit names, and develop counting skills. Apple, kiwi and banana are her upmost interest these days. She would lift these fruits up to show me while shouted the name of the fruit loudly and excitedly.

This set was a gift. While I thought to let her learn with hands on real fruits experience, it surely helps develop her mind, creativity, thinking ability, while also train her hand-eye-coordination and hand flexibility by her own operation.
