We were learning types and benefits of fruit and vegetables. Y was so excited when we made this carroty cone hat. She was already all familiar with and said “hat” all the time whenever she saw one so it brought excitement for her once she realized that we were making a hat. Even more it’s a carrot, even though an upside down version of it, one of her favorite things.

Materials:
-green color paper
-orange color paper
-a string
Instruction:
-cut 2 medium length strips from the green color paper
-draw a half circle on the orange color paper
-cut the half circle out
-roll the half circle into a cone
Roll the two flat edges of the half circle towards each other until they meet. The curved part of the half circle will become the brim of the hat. Put the hat on your toddler’s head and keep pulling the ends past each other until the hat fit.
-ask your toddler to glue along the seam
-poke 2 holes on the opposite side
-add and tie string through each of the hole
-ask your toddler to glue the green strips on top of the cone hat

Our daughter then asked to be read for this Peppa’s Vegetable Garden. Grandpa Pig loves growing vegetables in his garden, so Peppa and George want to be farmers too! They have lots of fun choosing what to grow, planting their seeds and learning to be patient waiting for them to grow. Then it's time for a delicious vegetable feast!
