(Open ended play)
This is what we’ve been waiting for after 6 hours of on-off observation for our walking rainbow project.

The climax of walking rainbow for our daughter was when she finally free to do whatever she wished for with these glass jars. I provided a big bowl on her tray and said “ready, set, go!”

Ah that excitement and laughter of hers!

She began clutching each and every paper towels and dumped them in the bowl.
Then it’s time for pouring!

She savoured her pouring action slowly but surely.

Power of anticipation, after 6 long hours of waiting. There was no spill from those 6 glass jars transfer into the bowl!

Then she poured water and paper towel from
bowl to glass jar. Over and over again. Seems like repeat with no ending. So chatty and busy.

This pouring games back and forth between the bowl and jars lasted for 40 minutes.

The longer she transfer the more water spilled to the tray though. Time was finally ticking for the open ended play to find its closure (maybe).

Even less and less water in the bowl, but she kept playing.

And it was finally ending! I got a kiss at the end of her play. She’s satisfied with her long day.
