Aerial Roots

We have been going to the city park with our daughter since the week she was born but we never realized there are roots hanging on top of one of the hut until last week.

We found it thanks to Y’s tiny adventure to explore certain area that we never bother to stroll into. She went into the hut, lurking around and I saw her looking up when I also just noticed these beautiful aerial roots. “Whiiiy! What’s dat?” she asked.

I explained to her that there are small trees on the roof and these red hanging threads are their roots. She was mesmerized by the curtain-like aerial roots. I lifted her up so that she touched them gently and she giggled for the amazement of what she has touched.
